  This Forum. Has it changed? For the better or for the worse? Or not a at all?

  when i post i try to imagine that i am at a social gathering or sometimes in someone's house as a dinner guest.

  that way it is easier to follow the community guidelines and posting rules set out on the site at the bottom of the page.

  i wouldn't want to make a fool of myself in public.

  It has change in the last few years. I don't mind the political talk but what does bother me is the name calling or deragatory remarks of those who don't share their views. I expect that from the borg but this is a place where all for the most part came out of the wt. Cult. This is the unity we all share but it seems for some to bully others into their viewpoint is the new way to vent their anger. It does sadden me sometimes this is what is happening but maybe this is the evolution of a internet fourm. The good thing is it is spring and gardening season has started. Yeah! Still Totally ADD

  Sounds reasonable to me. The wt. needs more money and they know most witnesses are money poor so why not change the rules a little on gambling. That way if someone hits it big the borg may get some of it to make the winner feel good and when that person dies the wt. may get it all. It's god plan for a new source of income. Lol.   My wife and I watch a doc. on PBS on these idiots. As far as cults go they are like the Wt. on steriods. What made me laugh was they are big on being anti-gay and a gay guy bought a house across the street from their church and painted it in the rainbow colors and has big gay events there.   Last act as an elder

  i was just reminiscing about the last thing i did as an elder.

  after a painful awakening due to family matters,,deleted as an elder due to what i now have come to realize is normal children trying to be more than just zombie tag alongs who don't make problems for their parents and want to explore their talents and intellect.

  mistakes and difficulties arise in families but real families do not resort to draconian measures when hormonally influenced children want to take a different path.

  I remember when one of my son's fell short of wt. rules and several elders told me how could my son even think of doing anything like that. In other words he was accused of having sex with her when in fact it was heavy petting. How they told me I was a awful father for letting him do that. I just looked at them and said "don't any of you remember what it was like when you were a teenager? Also I let them know I was not there when it happen. They acted like I was giving him a step by step instruction in heavy petting. Such idiots. I am so glad I don't have to deal with this anymore. Silas I totally understand where you are from.   it seems that the more one analyzes the wt premise that people are being judged by jehoho and his angelic lackeys on their responses to the messages they proclaim as good news of the kingdom(destruction of all the governments of the world by god's kingdom), the more flaws one sees in such an arrangement.. firstly why would jehoho judge people as worthy of everlasting annihilation because they don't respond appropriately to an organization's membership drives house to house service calls?

  surely jehoho needs to take into account that they have a very bad child abuse problem that sullies their reputation as his representatives, surely an intelligent reasonable almighty god would find this a very poor touch stone to judge people on especially when their everlasting life is at stake.. all these court cases of child molestation lawsuits brought against wt corporation we now see being broadcast all over the internet should make an intelligent god like jehoho see that this is a very bad idea or way to judge people and that all the people classified as sheep with this process will just get you a bunch of gullible desperate people without any critical thinking(which when you think of it pretty much describes a sheep).. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucju-ey1tyg&t=68s.

  A Question for Born-ins Who Had a Parent Leave the Cult Before They Did

  question: have any of you that are now exjws had a parent leave the religion before you, and you shunned them because of that?

  if so—and while you were still in the cult—what, if anything, could your parent have done to reach your heart and begin a reconciliation?

  it’s been almost ten years since i left the religion and my two sons continue to shun me and rebuff all efforts i make to reconcile.

  Jp I feel for you. Been there done that with our sons but our youngest did wakeup. I hope he chimes in on this post. I will tell you what he told us on why he left the borg. He said it was how the wt. was ramping up the fear and paranoia in their videos and talks. It help him to look further into what the org was all about. We had little to do with it except our steadfastness of not going back. It hurt him in shunning us. I wish there was a magic bullet in helping our kids to get out of the cult but I feel it's up to them to find the way. Maybe it will be something you told them years ago that will hit home with them to wakeup. Hopefully your wishes will come true. Take care. Still Totally ADD

  Coded Logic I agree with whay you are saying but I have seen personally supremacists, white, black or otherwise just don't see it as a melting pot where the good rises to the top and the rest is left behind. For them it's there way and no other way. I feel left unchecked it will lead to civil war or which I would fear WW3. In many ways it was racism that caused WW2. Hopefully it will never come to that.
